Acupuncture – This is an ancient Chinese medical practice that has become very popular all over the world. It involves balancing your body’s natural energy pathways in order to relieve pain. Qi (pronounced CHEE) is the term of the flow of energy. In this practice, professionals will place extremely small and thin needles into your skin.

These needles are placed in areas that are linked to the pain – this does not necessarily mean in the source of the skin. The purpose is to ensure the chemical serotonin is released so that pain is relieved.

  1. Dear Ariel,
Great article…I just love Mother Nature and the things that she provides for us in healing. I did not know about those herbs, but thanks to you, I will be doing some more research. Rosemary, peppermint, lavender, these are my staples. I will surely check out cloves (I use them in my baking) and I also use the oil as a room deodorizer. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work.
