Three minutes is the ideal time for you to start with. This may not sound like a long time, but when you are sitting there in the moment, you will soon see that it feels like forever. When you are meditating, pay attention to the sensation of breathing in and out, and also focus on your own body and mind.

When you are able to do this, you will connect with yourself on a level that is much deeper than you ever thought possible.

This is a vital point. Meditation is about finding that place inside of you that is at peace and is connected to the Universe. It is about opening to your heart.

So many people believe that the goal of meditation is to try and get to a point where they can focus without being distracted by anything at all. This is not the case. The goal of meditation is to try and become aware of your state of mind, so you can restructure your own thoughts.

When you are able to do this, you can really benefit your mind in more ways than one and it can also help you to have a more positive outlook on your meditative experience.

CHANGING OUR NEUROPATHWAYS THROUGH MEDITATION

Did you know that each time we sit in quiet in our own meditation practice we are actually creating brand new neuropathways? What does that mean? That we are no longer just stagnant. Our brain is alive and growing. When we sit in peace and breathe that allows new ways of thinking to be birthed.  That in turn is what our neuropathways do. It creates a road to be travelled in our brain to new way of thinking.

So just imagine that with every time we sit in breath and quiet, our minds are creating new highways to potential . Wow that is truly powerful yes?

So the concept of meditation allows us to expand our minds and thoughts.

Doesn’t that give us fabulous reason to meditate? That we can expand our potential with each sitting?

MANY METHODS OF MEDITATION TO TRY 

So the first way to just starting to meditate, is awareness of breath. This is basic mediation that we must always start with. For breath is life, yes? Without breath there is on life, no us.

Find a comfortable place to sit. And just focus on your breath. IN fact try this..

With each intake we say in with love, with each exhale, we say out with joy.

Try this 3 times.

Can you feel the difference? Feel your body lightening? And yet feeling stronger?

If you do this meditation upon waking and before going to sleep the neuropathways will be changing quickly. You will tsart to see and navigate the world in an easier way.  If you can fit this in somewhere around the middle of your day also it will calm that moment and readjust your thoughts.

Here are two other ways to consider doing meditation. One is candle gazing. And the other is a walking meditation. Both are quite lovely to do.

Being in meditative space is so sacred. It is the bridge to opening beyond the veils and to the universal heart.

Being in meditative space is so sacred. It is the bridge to opening beyond the veils and to the universal heart. Athough that might sound daunting and complicated, I believe it is not. It is our natural state to be connected and fully present. 

When we choose to begin a meditation practice we start slowly . Just a few minutes 2x per day. And each day we find we are able to sit longer and easier.

IN reality, we only need 10 minutes to change our neuropathways and enhance our world. Just think of the miracle that is taking place? We are changing  our physiological capacity to use our breath to heal and changing our neuropathways.. all because we are focusing on our breath! Beyond amazing yes?
